College Life

Well, my life as a college student has started up again. I honestly have mixed emotions about that, but it does have its benefits, which I will get to a little later. Classes actually started about 3 weeks ago, but I just now feel like I am getting into them. The first week isn't always thrilling, but I have found that it certainly beats every week that follows until the semester is over!

This semester I am taking 4 classes. (Psych 301-research methods, Phil 230-Philosophy in Morals and Ethics, Spanish 201, and Psych 312-Sensation and Perception) All of my classes are interesting and challenging. Psych 301 will definitely test me on how much I remember from statistics class, and also it will make me so sick of reading that I won't want to pick up a book for months once the semester ends. Philosophy 230 will be fun AND interesting. I can't say that the assignments and tests will be much fun. (They both require a LOT of writing!) Spanish 201 will be very challenging, but in a good way. The class is taught in all Spanish, which is a new one for me! However, it is forcing me to work all the harder. A good thing when you want to learn a language thoroughly! :) Finally, Psych 312 will be mostly a class involving memorization of notes as we don't have a text book. It is a very interesting class, so the wonderful 2 and a half hour session goes fairly quickly.

So what are the benefits of being a college student? Sure classes are far from fun, but are obviously necessary. However, when you have classes, you have a schedule. A schedule forces you to be more organized. During the holidays, life tends to become quite lazy. In my own experience, classes force me to put my best foot forward, because I HAVE to! I am organized, which very much increases my quality of work, and in the end can create success. Oh, and on a different note, I almost think I gain more weight when I don't have classes!

Anyways, this is a little tidbit from yours truly about college life. Cheerio~

I'm a blogger now...that's scary!

Ok, so I have entered a realm that I have never been in before. That is the realm of blogging. My siblings are doing it along with others close to my immediate family. So the way I figure, it can't hurt to jump on this lovely bandwagon and see where this journey takes me. Just to forewarn anyone who reads my blog, I am a college student, so expect to hear a lot about the life of a typical college student. I'm not a family man yet so get used to it! ;)

Enjoy reading my posts and I will be doing the same with your blogs! :)
